This is a Contract Award Notification, and NOT a call for further involvement from Industry. ________________________________ The original Contract Notice was published in the OJEU on the following link: https://ted.europa.eu/udl?uri=TED:NOTICE:48644-2018:TEXT:EN:HTML&src=0 ______________________________________ The Workshop Tools & Equipment (WTE) team are part of the Support & Test Equipment (STE) area in Operational Infrastructure (OI) and are responsible for the through life management of workshop tools and equipment. WTE/Workshop manages a wide range of metal, wood working and garage machinery at more than 180 locations in the UK and overseas. In order to maintain the serviceability of the legacy equipment, its operational output and most importantly, the safety of the operators, this contract for the supply, servicing, repair and commissioning/de-commissioning of metal, wood working and garage equipment was placed. _____________________________________________________ Only one technically compliant response to the PQQ was received following Contract Notice. It would therefore not be possible to demonstrate Value For Money under the initial procedure. As such, the decision was made to switch to Single Source procedure, where any tender would be assessed under Qualifying Defence Contract rules. _______________________________________ The Core Contract duration is 2 years (until 30/9/2020), with 2 1-year Options. For purposes of the Contract Award Notice, the full 4 years has been stated as the duration. _____________________________ The Contract value in the original advert is £9.5M ex-VAT. This is over the maximum 4-year period. For purposes of the Contract Award Notice, the full 9.5M years has been stated as the value.
