Species Evidence Base - version 2; Invertebrates

In 2022-23, the pilot phase of the Species Evidence Base (SEB) project aimed to demonstrate, as a proof of concept, that wide-ranging species information and evidence can be gathered and analysed in one place (a prototype database: SEB version 1). We achieved this aim. The purpose of the next stage of this project is to develop SEB into a user-friendly Natural England internal tool, drawing on the series of recommendations generated through the pilot evaluation. Working with a broader range of stakeholders and wider project steering group to help guide this work, we will be commissioning specialist taxonomic group experts to improve and expand on the evidence gathered last year, based on the feedback provided.
