Description
The Energy Systems Catapult has assumed responsibility for the delivery of the Energy Technologies Institute's (ETI) Smart Systems and Heat programme which aims to create future-proof and economic local heating solutions for the UK. As part of this Programme, the Upgrade Analysis Project will seek to take the learning other Smart Systems and Heat Projects to create concept plans for low carbon pathways for consumer households, provide a statistical analysis of how these pathways apply to the UK as a whole and create new, novel heat storage concepts. The ESC are seeking modelling support in the Upgrade Analysis Project by sourcing a supplier with expertise in low carbon technologies to expand the capability of the model produced in phase 1 of the Integrated Electric Heat Project. The exact scope of this modelling is to be defined but could include new heating systems (eg. Hydrogen boilers, Ground Source Heat Pumps), other low carbon technologies (eg. Solar PV), new control systems and additional heating components (eg. advanced boiler control, new radiators).
