GB-Bristol: **FOR TRANSPARENCY PURPOSES ONLY** Technical Maintenance and Repair Support for the AJAX MSI Range Instrumentation Package (RIP)

NOTE: This notice was updated on 11 January 2019 for the following reason: Update to Advert to reflect change in dates and requirement due to delay.(**FOR TRANSPARENCY PURPOSES ONLY** The Vehicle Demonstration & Manufacture delivery team, is part of the Ministry of Defence (MOD), and is seeking to place a single source contract with MS Instruments (MSI) Ltd for the maintenance and repair of Range Instrumentation (RI), including optical velocity measuring systems, metrology sensors and ruggedized processors, not exceeding the value of £40,000. The Range Instrumentation in question was procured as an off-the-shelf item through Contract MATT/SV/003 from the aforementioned supplier. The MoD considers that the Repair and Maintenance of Range Instrumentation Contract can be awarded under Regulation 16(1)(a)(ii) DSPCR 2011 for technical reasons. MSI Ltd are the Design Authority (DA) and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the RI and have extensive in depth knowledge and technical know-how of the design, interface and operation of the RI system. MSI Ltd have the required access to the necessary software and unique calibration equipment to carry out the requirements of the Contract. It is considered that another supplier that does not have access to these resources would encounter disproportionate technical difficulties resulting in performance implications for the end user.)
