Refit

The Council's Vision 2030 strategy has the objective of all council buildings being decarbonised by 2030. Delivery will require access to specialist technical and construction capability as well as a significant capital investment to eliminate gas heating systems and make council buildings more energy efficient. The appointment of the RE:FIT contractor is in line with the Council's Vision 2030 net zero strategy, which include a commitment to begin replacing gas boilers in Council buildings with electrical heating and to improve energy efficiency, as well as assessing the buildings' solar power capability.
