Description
NYnet and NYCC (together the "Authorities") have secured funding of £12.5m to roll out Phase 4 of theSuperfast North Yorkshire programme. Additional funding may be available throughout the Term of the contract.The Project aims to deliver against a Vision to secure as close to 100% coverage as possible of next generationaccess ("NGA") broadband in North Yorkshire ("the County") The Project recognises that the broad geography of North Yorkshire and its sparsity of population means NGAinfrastructure of 30Mbps and above may be limited in scope. However, with the application of public sectorfunds to stimulate the market, Suppliers' are invited to propose the most extensive coverage possible delivering30 Mbps and above using whatever range of NGA compliant technologies they consider most appropriate.
