Description
Stevenage Borough Council wishes to provide a new development of 27 units with associated parking at Garage Site, Dunn Close, Stevenage. The development involves the new build construction of a two storey block containing 6 self-contained flats and 21 hostel accommodation units with parking and secure cycles storage. The development will include all associated on and off site works as indicated on the accompanying site layout. The objective of the development is to provide well designed and constructed dwellings for residents. The contract will be let on a Design and Build basis and so tenderers are to satisfy themselves that they have made adequate allowances for all eventualities and have the necessary skill and experience to complete a high-quality product. The plans have been submitted to the Local Authority's Planning Department for pre-app. It is assumed that the winning bidder will be appointed before full planning permission has been granted. Organisations wishing to take part in this project are invited to "express interest" which will give access to the full procurement documents in the e-tendering system.
