Description

The successful Supplier will be required to provide catering services for Holland Park School (the Client), Airlie Gardens, Campden Hill Road, London, W8 7AF. Holland Park is a highly successful and over-subscribed comprehensive school in the heart of west central London and educates 1 350 pupils of mixed gender between the ages of 11-18. It is recognised as 'an outstanding school' by Ofsted, recorded as one of the country's top performing specialist Humanities Colleges and praised in the Good Schools Guide as a school which 'has seen a steep and continuing rise in results'. The school is profoundly committed to exacting high standards, to formality, to demanding creative excellence from its staff and students. It is a driven institution where students' success lies at the core of all planning. The school converted to academy status on 1 September 2013 and has retained the title Holland Park School. Basis of Contract: The school wishes to participate in a tender process with the intention of appointing a Supplier to deliver the catering and hospitality services at the school. The contract will commence on 01 November 2017 for a period of 3 plus 2 years on a 'cost plus' with fixed guaranteed lines on food and labour costs. Estimated contract value = circa 1 000 000 GBP over 3 years. Objectives: The appointed Supplier will have significant experience of delivering quality catering services within secondary school premises and should have suitable experience and expertise of successfully increasing pupil meal uptake and lunchtime sales growth. With the experience of successfully managing the TUPE process, the Supplier should ideally have a strong operational base in London, together with an ambition and compelling attitude towards forging a congenial partnership with the school's Leadership Team that stimulates a joint determination to achieve success. Ultimately it is important that the Supplier can demonstrate integrity with an ability to manage an efficient catering service through the application of best practice and innovation and as a result will be expected to deliver sustainable quality and 'best value' to the school.
