Leicestershire County Council's (the Council) waste contract with Newstar Environmental Ltd has been novated to Specialist Waste Recycling Ltd. The latter has confirmed all service provision under the original contract will remain the same. The Service includes provision of an extensive waste management service including but not limited to: - General & Dry Mixed Recycling Waste - Confidential Waste - Specialist Waste removal To ensure continuity of service enabling the Council to comply with Environmental Protection Act 1995 & ensure that any waste the Council produces is handled safely and within the law. Environmental Protection (Duty of Care) Regulations 1999. Hazardous Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2005, a temporary contract is sought with the replacement provider, whilst the Council reviews the novation in line with its policies & procedures.
