Description
The Installation of the Home Energy Services Gateway (HESG) System. We require a supplier/s to install the HESG system into privately owned homes to facilitate a trial of a Smart System & heating programme. The Home Energy Services Gateway is a system that controls the heating in your home. it gathers data about consumption (gas, electricity & water) and usage of heating and also controls the heating room by room based on the homeowners preference and can be adjusted by a cloud based system. The tender is for 2 Lots. Lot 1 Newcastle upon Tyne ; Lot 2 Bridgend South Wales and bidders can bid on either lot or both lots. The Supplier will provide the following core services and the number and make up of the personnel to undertake the works is the suppliers choice but we envisage the make up will be as follows: -Surveyor, -Pre-Installation Technician (set up the kits & pair with the hub), Installation Team (1 or 2 persons depending on qualifications, 1 must be a Gas Safe Registered engineer and a qualified electrician may be required), -Breakdown Cover during the trial and will commence upon completion of the installation at the first home ( Gas Safe Registered Engineer and suitable Van). Normal hours M-F 08:00 to 17:00 hrs & Out of hours is set at 17:00 to 22:00 hrs or weekends /Public holidays 08:00 to 22:00 hrs. De-installation/removal of the kits at the end of the trial period Catapult may require the Supplier to provide a Helpline which will provide 1st line support. This will be decided and agreed during the contract mobilisation period. The trial will be undertaken over the winter period and last for 6 months but with the installations having to be staggered over a 25 working day period this will mean from 1st homes installation to the last and the same when the trail ends the total trial period will be circa 8 months but we may extend the actual trial period if we need to gather more usage data. Catapult envisage in Lot 1 to meet the 25 working day installation period the supplier may need 2 or 3 teams and for Lot 2 it will require 1 team possible 2 but again this will be a choice the supplier will need to make similarly with the make up of each team (1 or 2 person per team). Catapult will provide specific training on the system & equipment to all personnel and share the results and data from the smaller initial trial.
