Description

Durham County Council (DCC) require a contract for the purchase, maintenance and repairs of cleaning machines. Durham County Council currently has over 50 Tennant scrubber dryers ranging from small CS5 scrubbers to larger T300 scrubber dryers, all of which are walk behind battery powered equipment. The machines are located across Durham County Council and a full asset list will be provided as part of the tender process. The Council has introduced chemical free cleaning and more efficient ways of cleaning, and the scrubber dryers are the main catalyst to providing efficient floor cleaning throughout our sites. Each service works to a cleaning standard within their sites, and it is key the cleaning machines are fully operational, fit for purpose and safe to use. By achieving this a good service provider is important to provide ongoing time effective support for repairs, maintenance and training on new and existing kit. The contract will include provision of annual maintenance, repairs for both planned and reactive repairs and the purchase of new machines. Training will be required by the service provider for all new machines and refresher training will need to be offered as part of the contract, included within the initial purchase cost and service plans. The service provider must be authorised by the manufacturer and have full manufacturer training in the maintenance of this equipment. Service providers must be able to honour warranty claims and use genuine parts as well as having access to manufacturer software updates on the T300 and other Tennant machines.
