Removal of Bodies on behalf of HM Coroner for Cumbria

Cumberland council, as ‘relevant authority’ for coroner’s services in Cumbria is seeking suitable contractor(s) to enter a contract(s) for the ‘Removal of Bodies on behalf of the HM Coroners’ within the county of Cumbria. As ‘relevant authority’ Cumberland Council has the statutory responsibility to provide appropriate, timely and robust arrangements for the collection and/or transportation of a deceased person when the death needs to be referred to hm coroner for investigation if the death occurred within the Cumbria Coroners area.
