Description
The design, partial demolition and site clearance, extension (conservatory) and full refurbishment of the former public conveniences at The Slade, Plumstead. This will include all building works, associated services, drainage, infrastructure and external works. Scope of work The scope of work for shell and core comprises: - Internal strip out - Removal of asbestos - Demolition and preparation for the new conservatory extension including foundations, dwarf walls, beams and support and roof adaptations - Erection of a new conservatory structure - Structural alterations - New partitions - Internal repairs and insulation - New floors - External repairs and roof recovering - Toilet fit out - New gas and electric supplies - New electrical lights/ power to toilets - External decoration The scope of work for fit out comprises: - Extend services (heating, lighting, power and plumbing) into the shell - Apply finishes to walls, ceiling and floors - Fit out kitchen area At this stage it is not known who the end tenant will be and, dependent on who the tenant is, it may be that the fit-out element is removed from the contract. For this reason, these two costs are to be scored separately.
