Description
The Framework for the Provision of Short Break Services for Disabled Children and Young People, is a joint procurement between Bournemouth Borough Council and the Borough of Poole. A Framework Agreement is an agreement that sets out the terms under which individual contracts (call offs) are let during the contract period. Short Breaks provide opportunities for disabled children and young people to spend time away from their primary carers and should provide the ongoing support that children/young people and their families need to fulfil their potential, therefore benefiting both the child/young person and the parent/carer. The break should provide a rest from caring responsibilities for parents/carers and will allow the child/young person to experience new activities while developing relationships. The Framework will cover the following lots; • Lot 1 - Overnight care • Lot 2 - Day care • Lot 3 - Domiciliary care • Lot 4 - Community care
