Description
Tenders are invited for the supply of Healthwatch Service. This service is statutory as Local authorities with adult social care responsibilities are required, under “the Act” (Health and Social Care Act 2012), to commission a local Healthwatch service covering the local authority area. The Act also makes provision for contractual arrangements between local authorities and their local Healthwatch organisation, however, it allows flexibility for councils to choose the commissioning route that offers the best value for money in their communities. The Lincolnshire Healthwatch Service aims to obtain the views of people in Lincolnshire about their needs and experience of local health and social care services, and to give citizens and communities a stronger voice to influence and challenge how health and social care services are provided, playing a key role in ensuring provision is continuously improving and the views of Lincolnshire residents are championed. The Provider is expected to be responsible for providing this service, liaising closely with the Council. The service will be available to the whole population of Lincolnshire.
