Description
As part of the Eastern Green Link Projects (EGL 3 & EGL 4) new connections will increase the capability of the electricity transmission network between England and Scotland. The general requirement is for a marine survey of two cable routes to inform of seabed morphology and shallow sediment structure, and to provide benthic characterisation and habitat maps. The planned marine cable routes are both East Coast UK, from Peterhead to Lincolnshire and from Fife to Lincolnshire. Lotting of the Requirements: • Lot 1- EGL 3 Marine Cable Route Survey: approximately 500 km route from Peterhead to Lincolnshire • Lot 2 - EGL 4 Marine Cable Route Survey: approximately 450 km route from Fife to Lincolnshire The survey scope of work covers geophysical, geotechnical, topographic and environmental sampling.
