Description

Hydrometry Framework The Coal Authority (TCA) was established by Parliament to undertake specific statutory duties, set out in the Coal Industry Act 1994, associated with licensing coal mining operations; managing property and the historic legacy arising from the ownership of the coal reserves and underground workings; settling subsidence damage claims and providing access to coal mining information. The Authority is funded by Grant-in-Aid from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ). The Authority takes pride in its achievements, quality and motivation of staff, and is focused on delivering its high level objectives sustainably. Deliverables from this Framework are to provide a service(s) to undertake Hydrometric Monitoring for the Coal Authority, at coal and metal mine sites across the UK. The Framework will be divided into 6 lots. 1 Options Assessment, design and build 2 Weirs and Flumes 3 Loggers, Water Level Sensors, Rain Gauges, velocity sensors and Water Quality Sensors 4 Spot Flow Gauging and Water Quality Sampling 5 Flow meter verification 6 Hydrometric Monitoring (General Lot) Framework Users The primary users will be the Authority's Operations directive. However, other departments, may use the Framework. This Framework will also be available for use by National Resource Wales (NRW) for similar types of services in relation to current and historic coal and non-coal mining operations.
