Description

HS2 Lot C1 consists of 21.6km of high speed rail infrastructure in a rural environment. This will include a 3.4km viaduct, 16km twin-bore tunnel with mined cross-passages and five vent shafts. Cat 3 checking services are required as part of the permanent works detailed design. Full details and specifications will be provided to successfully shortlisted suppliers. Suppliers should be aware of the scale of this Project before responding to this opportunity. Interested suppliers capable of delivering this work are invited to respond to this opportunity. The buyer will conduct a shortlisting exercise around the following criteria: Technical Capability - experience in design of: High Speed Rail Bored Tunnels Deep Shafts Sprayed Concrete Lining Complex viaduct structures, including rail-structure interaction Post-tensioned segmental superstructure construction, including balanced cantilever erection methods Geotechnics High Speed 2 involvement Perceived conflict of interest Current level of resource commitment Knowledge of applicable HS2 standards Organisational capability Organisation size, staff numbers Experience in large scale D&B projects Turnover in total and railway infrastructure UK Presence and familiarity with UK design, cat 3 checking and certification processes The results of the shortlisting exercise will not be published. Successfully shortlisted consultants will be issued with Invitation To Tender documents containing further details and instructions. ITTs may be issued to other companies at the buyer's discretion.
