Description
The purpose of this contract is to implement a system engineering methodology, based on the Design Structure Matrix (DSM) approach as defined in a recent paper (ref: [1]), to model plasma control interfaces, both within the plasma and with external plant systems. This will support the development of an interface model for a spherical tokamak based fusion power plant. In turn, this is expected to inform the selection of a tokamak sensor set that meets functional, redundancy and availability requirements for the plasma control needs of the STEP prototype plant.
