Description
The aim of the Mast and Towers Contract is to ensure that the structures are managed in order that the MCA’s obligations for the UK’s Maritime Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) mandate and all other maritime requirements are met; by ensuring that these freehold sites/structures are safe and any changes to them meet recognised safety standards. The Supplier will be responsible for all aspects of management of the MCA’s existing mast and tower structures to ensure that: • they are maintained and remain safe in accordance with current and emerging safety requirements • that access safety systems meet these safety standards for any authorised person having reason to access the structure, and reasonably practicable security measures are identified to prevent unauthorized persons from accessing the structures.
