Description
The authority required a supplier to assist NHS England and NHS Improvement to deliver a number of improvement initiatives within the Joint Ambulance Improvement Programme. The supplier has delivered the following: Maintain the ability to convene and Chair Ambulance Policy Advisory and Assurance Group (APAAG) meetings if and when required by NHSE/I. Support the work of the Clinical Coding Group and ECPAG and also provided general support to work around coding issues as required. Technical and operational surveillance of ambulance call taking. Triage and ITK systems providing an early identification of risks and issues to NHSE/I together with potential solutions. Liaison with BT and ambulance trusts/NHSE/I during periods of extreme 999 demand. Support to maintain interoperability between ambulance control rooms. Maintenance of the escalation and de-escalation processes for the Pandemic Triage levels and consequent support to NDOG and NASMeD in establishing the relevant meetings and in the accurate recording of the decision-making processes. Ongoing support to the overall Ambulance PPE agenda and associated issues Ongoing curation and technical maintenance of the Avoidable Conveyance Repository Support to the Cat 3/4 999 Validation Pilots and any related roll out Support to the collection of data associated with clinical validation of CAT 2 calls to inform final decisions around future classification. Oversight of the Early Prediction processes for CAT 1 patients and associated improvement work Support to review the current AQIs and resolve any errors or areas of concern (4 Days) Support to the scoping of a National Clinical Oversight Framework for Control Rooms (5 days) Support to the design and socialising of a briefing paper regarding Triage systems (5 Days)
