Description
To tackle the rise in excess weight in the adult population of North Yorkshire, the Council wishes to commission a service provider to deliver a tier two adult weight management service in six districts across North Yorkshire. In line with national guidance, the Adult Weight Management Service will be delivered as a multicomponent, twelve week programme that includes weekly nutritional advice (including weekly weigh-in) and physical activity, underpinned by structured behaviour change strategies. The provider will have a robust delivery plan which includes an innovative model of delivery to achieve weight loss targets for adults aged eighteen and over with a body mass index (BMI) of twenty five or above.
