Description
Queenborough and Rushenden is a major development site within Homes England's Economic Assets Programme and a key component of the Kent and Medway Stewardship Plan. Homes England have acquired the Klondyke site, and together with the Twyford and Mill sites represents a total of 26 hectares to be brought forward for mixed-use regeneration. In conjunction with the Caradon site to the south, these sites will provide 2,000 new homes and circa 180,000m2 of employment space on the Isle of Sheppey in North Kent. Tenders are being sought from specialist Suppliers to undertake the following works on the former Klondyke Industrial Estate (see CampbellReith Demolition Specification for full Scope of Works on ProContract): - Site clearance works. - Soft strip and asbestos removal/disposal from buildings and stockpiles located around site. - Accord with pre-commencement planning conditions. - Vibration/dust/asbestos monitoring. - Demolition of existing above ground structures to ground. - Crushing/testing/certification of suitable site-won material.
