Description
West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), on behalf of the One Health and Care Partnership, are commissioning the development of a strategic options appraisal and business case for two service areas - the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) and Community Diagnostics Hub (CDH). The local Acute Trust (Princess Alexandra Hospital) is currently undergoing a significant amount of estates development to develop a campus style hospital. The current site contains an urgent treatment centre that will not form part of the new hospital. The establishment of Community Diagnostic Hubs is a national programme to improve efficiency and reduce delays for patients. It is based upon elective diagnostic centres with new pathways that separate emergency acute and elective diagnostics. The strategic options appraisal and business case will determine the operating models and locations of both service areas. West Essex CCG has appointed Attain Health Management Services to deliver this piece of work via the East of England Collaborative Procurement Hub Framework for Transforming Organisations, Partnerships and Systems - Multi-specialty Support and Advisory Consultancy Services. This is a compliant route to market which allows for direct award without conducting further competition.
