Description

The service is to provide a 24 hour, 7 days a week logistic facility. The service is primarily to transport materials between the project stores at Silvertown and the main works sites adjacent to Bank Station in Central London to include Arthur Street, King Williams Street and the LU Bank Station. There are occasional needs for material pick up and drop off in other UK locations. The scope of works covered by this specification and associated proposal is to provide: • Transport services to support the BSCU works only. • 24 hour, 7 day transport logistics service (Christmas break service to be confirmed annually all other bank and national holidays require a full service). • Drivers to operate a Telehandler with suspended load operation. • Obtain and maintain compliance to: o FORS, minimum of bronze accreditation o CLOCS o Other appropriate logistic codes of practice and guidelines • Management of: o Drivers o Vehicles o Maintenance o Local charges such as London congestion o Fuel and tires o All running charges, typically: taxes, charges, levies, insurance The selection process will be based on tendered prices and the ability to provide a fully certified service in accordance to the project standards. Short listed suppliers will be provided with a detailed tender requirement specification to adhere and quote to. They may also be requested to attend Dragados offices for a mid tender meeting to discuss the tender in detail.
