Description
Decommissioning of nominated public space surveillance static camera sites and the upgrade or rationalization of CCTV systems at various council assets located throughout Reigate & Banstead Borough. Reigate & Banstead Borough Council have a total of 127 CCTV cameras covering the public space areas of Redhill, Reigate, Holmethorpe, Wood-Hatch, Merstham, Priory Park, Horley, Banstead & Tadworth areas. The main CCTV control Room is located within the Reigate Police Station, which monitors a number of public space cameras throughout the borough on a none 24hr bases. As a result of re-structuring the police operations will be relocated to the new police headquarters and the police stations at Reigate has been sold for future development. Reigate & Banstead Borough Council have made the decision to rationalizes its stock of public space CCTV cameras and to reactively monitor the CCTV covering their key. The decision has been made to relocate the CCTV recording and monitoring equipment to the local council depot and disband the out-sourced CCTV monitoring.
