Description

The intended Impact of the overall programme is inclusive growth and poverty reduction through increased incomes, opportunities and resilience of the poor. The intended Outcome of BEOF is to facilitate the creation of productive jobs and opportunities for the poor, through a doing business environment which enables and encourages businesses to create those opportunities, through work with business to capitalise on those opportunities, and through support to the poor to take up those opportunities. The BEOF will achieve this through work under the following five pillars (detailed further in the BSPB Business Case): • The regulatory and institutional environment for doing business • Financial sector • Infrastructure - financing and policy • Trade • Inclusive and responsible business The BEOF will be able to work across all of these pillars, and we anticipate that in practice it will work across the majority or all of them.
