The Protection Policy and Reform Unit within National Fire Chiefs Council is currently planning a national recruitment drive to increase awareness of fire safety career opportunities and pathways, generating a pool of interest leading to the recruitment of around 370 new staff into FRS fire safety (protection) departments in advance of the implementation of the Building Safety Bill, likely to be in April 2023.
