Description
The Council operates four Waste Transfer Stations (WTS) at Bardon, Kibworth, Loughborough and Whetstone, and fourteen Recycling and Household Waste Sites (RHWS) with drainage infrastructure ranging from large attenuation tanks, foul water cesspits, septic tanks silt and oil interceptors of varying makes and capacities, to various catchpits sumps and gullies. The Services required include: • Emptying and disposal of effluent from cesspits and cesspool tanks. • Removal and disposal of oil, solids and contaminated water from interceptors and sumps. • Removal and disposal of silt from catch pits and channels. • Removal and disposal of silt from, and cleansing of, yard and road gullies. • Servicing interceptor tank oil coalescers. • Unblocking and jetting drains.

The Council proposes an initial contract term for each lot of five years with an optional extension or extensions of periods between 12 months and five years to a maximum total of fifteen years. No single extension will exceed five years.
