Description
Goring-on-Thames Parish Council is seeking to appoint a contractor to refurbish and extend the existing sports pavilion at Sheepcot Recreation Ground, Gatehampton Road, Goring on Thames, RG8 0EB. The works involve refurbishment of the existing building and a modest extension to provide improved changing rooms, accessible toilets, a covered spectator area with serving hatch, and associated storage. Planning permission has been granted by South Oxfordshire District Council (ref P25/S4010/FUL). The appointed contractor will be invited to collaborate with the parish council on finalising the construction drawings. Any contractor-designed elements must comply with the planning permission as granted. This is a Stage One notice inviting requests to participate via a Selection Questionnaire. Shortlisted contractors will be invited to submit a full tender at Stage Two.

Applicants must demonstrate relevant experience of the refurbishment or construction of community, sports, or leisure buildings. At least two of the three projects submitted must have been completed within the last five years with a contract value of £250,000 or above. Named references must be provided. Applicants must hold or confirm the ability to obtain accreditation with a recognised health and safety scheme such as CHAS, Constructionline, or SafeContractor, or demonstrate equivalent competence. A written health and safety policy must be in place where the organisation has five or more employees.
