Description

IWM is looking for a disability consultant to create training materials for c.40 digital volunteers on our Accessible Pasts, Equitable Futures project. The consultant will work with the project lead to identify possible training opportunities and ways of creating accessible training for remote volunteers. The goal of this part of the project is to trial using digital volunteers to create accessibility information about a collection of 200 digital museum items. This tender is going out to ask a company/individual to create training materials for volunteers who will produce alt-text, long description, transcription, audio description, and other narrative descriptions of IWM collections. We will be using Zooniverse as a platform for this trial, although we are currently planning to keep the trial private, only using IWM volunteers. This is a funded project with a budget range of between £11k-£13k (inc. VAT).
