Procurement Partner to support the Commissioning of Services to Young People

NCS currently has the following opportunity for the provision of: Procurement Partner to support the Commissioning of Services to Young People Overview of the Requirement We are seeking a partner who can support us through the recommissioning of services for young people from 2025 onwards. Whilst we are experienced in commissioning services for young people and have done so every three years or so, each one is different to meet evolving needs of 16-17 year olds and is dependent on the budget awarded by the government. We anticipate the value of commissions for these services to young people to be in the regions of £35m per annum, over three years. This could include both contracts and grants and across a range of potential suppliers from small local voluntary sector organisations to national private sector organisations. As a Royal Charter Body, an arm's-length body (ALB) of Government and one governed by an Act of Parliament (the National Citizen Service Act 2017) there are rigorous governance requirements around commissioning. We are seeking a partner who is highly experienced in all stages of commissioning in a public service context, in particular ALBs, and who has demonstrable success in government business case approval demonstrating a strong understanding of governance requirements such as PCR2015, Cabinet Office controls, the Five Case model. Start date - July 2024 for 9 months with a potential extension of up to a further 9 months to December 2025.
