Description
Penns Place has several sports pitches and a leisure centre and had, up until recently, a play area. The play area was well used by visiting families and now needs to be re-established. The brief provides examples of play equipment that the Town Council would like to introduce but the end result is not limited to the kind of play equipment shown. Outdoor music or percussion instruments could also be considered, as well as alternative accessible and general equipment to the examples listed. Shaded areas should also be considered. There is only the one document for this contract - the brief, and contractors are invited to submit their thoughts on how this may be designed in the area designated. We are happy to arrange visits to the designated area, and it is worth noting that the play area may need to be moved in 5 years time to make way for an extension to the Taro Leisure Centre should this go ahead. We are looking for a multi-purpose, well designed, themed and climate friendly play area that can support all childhood ages.
