The services are provided by Nominet UK, which operates the UK country code top level domain and is the sole organisation able to deliver the GOV.UK domain delegation and associated services. The contract has been awarded by direct award due to a natural monopoly, as only Nominet UK can provide this service. No competition or technical evaluation was possible.
