W326 KB1 Kings Barton to Winchester Bus Service

Route: KB1 Kings Barton to Winchester. The KB1 service is a new bus service which will service the Kings Barton development in Winchester. The contract will cost a total of £120,000 per annum. The full amount is due to be funded from the developer contributions funding arising from the Kings Barton development. Following a failed tender exercise via Hampshire County Council's DPS for Passenger Transport, Decision Day approval was granted to award the contract via Direct Award. The service is to commence on 7 October 2024 for a period of two years funded through developer contributions. After two years, the Authority will review the demand for this service and we will re-tender any further service requirements via the Passenger Transport Services DPS.
