Description
The University are looking to source a 3D printer utilising powder bed fusion, either by selective laser sintering or jetting of fusing agents. The volume of the build chamber should be a minimum of 300mm x 175mm x 225mm (or cylindrical equivalent volume) to greater enable production of engineering components / prototypes. To ensure functionality of printed parts, it is essential that the prints should have a high degree of isotropy with material properties in the z-axis being within 60% of the x/y plane. The printer will be used to process batch runs of prototypes therefore, speed is essential so the machine should be capable of building at a rate of a minimum of 2000 cm3/hr. The minimum layer height should be no larger than 0.08mm. The proposed solution must be capable of printing in a range of materials including, but not limited to: PA11, PA12, PA11 Glass Balls.
