Description
Research services. The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) and the Home Office jointly published the Online Harms White Paper (OHWP) in April 2019 setting out government's proposals for regulation and policies to tackle harms taking place online. The government is currently evaluating consultation responses to the proposals set out in the White Paper and is due to publish its response to the consultation by the end of 2019. DCMS is seeking to appoint a provider to: Undertake research into the commercial market for products and services relating to online safety in the UK; Conduct an analysis of how the market has developed, key trends, and strengths and weaknesses in this market; and Evaluate how the commercial market relates to the wider innovation ecosystem around online harms. Together with DCMS analysis of consultation responses and findings from our stakeholder engagement, this research will feed into the government's response to the consultation, and our programme of activity to support and grow the UK's online safety sector and ecosystem.
