Description
Bristol City Council wishes to appoint a provider for the provision of an Advocacy Service for Children in Care, Care Leavers and Children Subject to Child Protection Conferences. Advocacy is about speaking up for children and young people, ensuring their views are heard and acted upon by decision-makers. The role of an advocate is to help children and young people to raise issues and concerns about things they are unhappy with; and ensure that children and young people can understand what is happening to them, can make their views known and, where possible, exercise choice when decisions about them are being made. The Council has an estimated maximum annual contract value of £52,500 giving a total contract value of £262,500 to deliver the services as described in the Specification. This is based on delivering a minimum of 1,100 hrs. In addition, the Council has scope to increase the provision of this service through accessing additional funding of £5,000 per annum up to a maximum annual value of £57,500, giving a potential total contract value of £287,500. Additional funding will be agreed at the discretion of the Council. Additional provision will be dependent upon demand and will be of an ad-hoc nature.
