Description

The British Red Cross helps millions of people in the UK and around the world to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies, disasters and conflicts. For example, our volunteers and staff help people in crisis to live independently by providing support at home, mobility aids and transport. We are part of the global Red Cross and Red Crescent humanitarian network. We refuse to ignore people in crisis. The British Red Cross are in the process of launching several initiatives to drive innovation across the organization to enable staff and volunteers to better unlock potential, meet changing needs and in turn help more people in crisis. One of these is the British Red Cross Ideas Platform. Lots of fantastic, innovative ideas exist across the organisation but we don't yet have a systematic approach and framework to gather and harness these effectively. We are looking for an impactful and effective solution to help us identify problems and come up with solutions whilst engaging our staff and volunteers. Specifically, we would like to focus around ideas to: raise more money; boost our reach; show our impact; work better together. Requirements - Web based idea generation platform which enables ideas to be crowdsourced from staff (and in the future, volunteers and the public), in response to a defined innovation challenge - 1 challenge launched by Q4 - Idea evaluation tools to allow idea shortlisting - Engaging UI, available on any device - Up to 1000 users - Configurable and versatile reporting mechanisms - Platform customised with Red Cross messaging and branding - Ongoing web-based technical support for users
