Description
Blackpool Council has a statutory responsibility (Section 47(1) of the NHS and Community Care Act 1990) to carry out assessment of need for clients with substance misuse problems and offer residential provision if appropriate. Blackpool Council is seeking proposals for two separate lots from suitably qualified and experienced providers for the provision of residential detoxification services (18 years old and over) and residential rehabilitation services (18 years old and over). • Lot 1 (18 years old and over) - Inpatient Detoxification services to be delivered in accordance with the established levels of care; medically managed, medically monitored, kick start/stop, stabilisation and stepped care. Service models are to cater for both drug and alcohol presentations. • Lot 2 (18 years old and over) - Provision of Residential Rehabilitation services for both drug and alcohol presentations. Blackpool Council Detoxification Services and Rehabilitation Services framework commenced in April 2016 (Chest reference A3AJ XQYXLB) for an initial period of 3 years and is now being re-opened (existing providers sitting on the framework do not need to reapply) the framework now has 6 years to run, it comprises of an "Approved Supplier List", arranged into the 2 separate lot categories. It is anticipated that the contract is for the period 1st September 2019 - 31st March 2021, Blackpool Council may extend the contract incrementally, it is anticipated these will be in 2 year blocks (subject to contract review and budget availability).
