PEDPS Con 16600 Thorn Cross Equalities

PEDPS Con 16600 Thorn Cross Equalities HMP/YOI Thorn Cross is looking to commission a provider to deliver four one week sessions in HMP/YOI Thorn Cross. The medium of delivery and contents of the programme are up to the provider to decide, but should be delivered to up to 400 men in the year, and must be themed around equality and diversity in some form. There is no expectation that there will be accreditation at the end of the programme, but some acknowledgement of the learning taking place would be beneficial. Sessions could be half-day, whole-day, whole week, or other arrangement. They could involve art, drama, sport, music, or other media. Whether men attend for one session, one day, a week etc. is also at the discretion of the provider, based upon their delivery model. The aim would be for all men at Thorn Cross to gain awareness of equality and diversity. The course could be delivered in visits, chapel, education, gym, outside, or as suggested by the provider. It could contain some elements of release on temporary licence (ROTL), but this must be discussed with the prison, as not all men are eligible for ROTL.
