4766- Re-use and Recycling Centre and Transfer Station Management, Haulage to Treatment Site(s) and joint marketing of minor waste streams

The principle that underwrites this requirement is that waste should be reduced first, then reused, then sent for recycling or composting. Residual waste that is left is to be sent for energy recovery and only waste that cannot be dealt with in any of the previous processes is to be sent to landfill.
