Description
Liverpool City Council (LCC) is commencing a review of the Liverpool Local Plan. The Local Development Scheme https://liverpool.gov.uk/planning-and-building-control/plan-making-in-liverpool/local-development-scheme/ sets out the programme for its preparation. In line with the National Planning Policy Framework and Planning Guidance it must be based on a robust, up to-date and proportionate evidence base.\r \r To support the process of preparing a new Local Plan the City Council wish to procure the services of a highly experienced and qualified consultant/s to prepare a City Centre Strategy which focus on the city centre's core retail and leisure area/s. Its purpose will be to undertake a health check of the centre, to develop a strong, ambitious and fit for purpose vision and recommend a policy approach which responds to changing dynamics, trends and challenges to feed into the new Local Plan for Liverpool. It should provide an evidence base to establish the overarching principles that will shape the future of the City Centre retail and leisure core to ensure it is a successful, thriving place for all.\r
