Description
The Proposed Ground Investigation works contract comprises the following works: 1. 4 No. boreholes advanced using a drilling rig capable of both dynamic sampling and rotary coring that can obtain the required samples through possible made ground/fill, superficial deposits and solid geology to depths of approximately 30 mbgl. Boreholes shall extend 7.5m in to competent bedrock. Collection of Piston/UT100 undisturbed samples where possible, SPT testing and collection of rock cores. 2. Soils to be logged in accordance with BS EN ISO 14688-1:2002+A1:2013 and BS5930:2015. 3. Rock to be logged in accordance with BS EN ISO 14689-1:2002, BS 5930:2015 and with consideration of CIRIA C570. 4. 10 No. Cone Penetration Tests, to refusal, using the Piezocone with 4 No. pore pressure dissipation testing (Two on either side of the River). 5. Geotechnical Laboratory testing on selected samples. 6. Environmental Testing on Selected samples. 7. Provision of AGS data. 8. Ground Investigation Factual Report (as per 16.8.1) 9. 8 No. of hand dug trial pits to depths of approximately 500 mmbgl, as shown on the attached Trial Pit location map on existing cycle track near to Yeo Bank Farm.
