Description
In order to support the work being taken forward as part of the national Paramedics Evidence Based Education Project and the requirements of the Urgent and Emergency Care Review, Health Education England has identified funding to support the development of the advanced paramedic workforce. Criteria have been developed against which employers can bid for a portion of the fund. The process will be a competitive one managed by Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust using the In-Tend e-tendering system. Accordingly, interested suppliers will need to register on the In-Tend system for which there is no charge at:- https://in-tendhost.co.uk/leicspart/aspx/Home This tender is an open one and is being conducted under the OJEU Light Touch regime. There are two pilots for which tenderers may apply:- Lot 1: Paramedic Pre-Degree Experience Pilot Lot 2: Paramedic Advanced Practice Pilot Tenderers may bid for either pilot or both pilots. Each pilot will be evaluated separately. Tenderers may bid for funding up to £1million per pilot. The contract is anticipated to commence in January 2017. The contract period is flexible. However pilot participants should be joining either a paramedic science BSc course or a degree apprenticeship by no later than September 2019. This tender is being conducted under the OJEU Light Touch regime.
