Description
Advice and analysis in relation to the subject matter of contracts to which the Defence Reform Act 2014 applies. Military advice services will include providing strategic advice and analysis on military related topics. These services will require significant knowledge of the defence industry, both in the UK and worldwide. Areas of support and advice required may include but are not restricted to: a) Qualitative analysis capabilities including experience to assist in understanding procurement and manufacture, such as: i) technical understanding on what is being procured and the associated risks; ii) operational knowledge of aspects of the Front Line Commands and the MOD and the uses of the equipment in question; iii) practical application of military knowledge in weapons and equipment; and iv) understanding of the manufacture methods of specific equipment types. b) Quantitative analysis of risk in a defence industry context, including its application to the cost risk adjustment as part of the SSRO’s profit rate methodology.
