Description
East Devon District Council (the Employer) requires an Engineering Geologist/Geotechnical Engineer to supervise annual rope access cliff inspections, advise EDDC regarding future works to manage risk to public safety and undertake independent visual inspections of additional cliff sites. EDDC will appoint a rope access contractor on an independent and separate contract. Annual rope access inspections take place at four cliff sites including: Sidmouth - Connaught Gardens Cliff; Beer - East Beach Cliffs; Budleigh Salterton - East Beach Cliffs; Seaton - West Walk Cliffs. A separate scope and price is required for the supervision of annual rope access inspection of West Beach cliffs in Beer. These cliffs are not owned by EDDC and the cost of these inspections is subject to approval by the landowner. In addition to the rope access inspections, visual inspections are also required at the following cliff sites on annual rotation: Sidmouth - Riverside House/Angel Lodge and the River Sid; Sidmouth - Alma Bridge Footpath; Sidmouth - East Beach Cliff; Seaton - West Walk to Seaton Hole; Exmouth - Madeira Walk; Exmouth - The Plantation; Beer - Charlie's Yard.
