Description
The Upper Orwell Crossings project is a major bridges infrastructure project located in the centre of Ipswich. The Project includes three bridges under an NEC4 ECC with Option X22 Contract for ECI to target cost with build: Crossing A: A new road crossing to the south of the Wet Dock Island, which would connect the east and west banks. This crossing will be for all road users, including cyclists and pedestrians as a single carriageway bridge between the A137 Wherstead Road and C26 Holywells Road, spanning the River Orwell. Crossing B: A new road crossing of the New Cut, which will connect the west bank to the Wet Dock Island. This crossing would be for all road users, including cyclists and pedestrians as a single carriageway bridge between Felaw St and the Island Site. Crossing C: An improved crossing utilising a refurbished swing bridge over the Prince Philip Lock, which will connect the east bank to the Wet Dock Island. This crossing would be for cyclists and pedestrians only The SQ Submission is due back 12 Midday 29th June 2018
