Description

The anunal Debt Need Survey supports the work of Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) in improving financial wellbeing. It does this by providing robust measures of the need for debt advice in the UK. It is used to inform decisions on the distribution of funding for debt advice providers in the UK. The global pandemic has created the potential for a more changeable environment to develop. Government intervention such as the furlough scheme, support for small businesses and the suspension of evictions and re-possessions has suppressed demand for debt advice. In this context MaPS and other external stakeholders, need more regular updates on key issues relating to debt as the true impact of the pandemic impacts the UK. For this reason MaPS is commissioning this project to provide insights using smaller scale surveys on a more regular basis. Therefore MaPS wishes to appoint a supplier to undertake the following in-scope activities: Fieldwork - using online interviewing, set-up, sample design, scripting and project management. Data - data processing, including providing tabulated results and the data in SPSS. Weighting - working collaboratively with MaPS to produce, test and agree weights for the data. High level reporting - MaPS to provide a standard slide deck covering off the key issues as described above for the successful bidder to populate.
