Description

The scope of the works is to supply necessary scaffolding to the building, strip up existing roof covering/decking and renew with IKO Specification roofing products. Scaffolding Supply, erect and maintain for the duration of the project scaffolding and access to all elevations to allow the works to be carried out fully in accordance with current Health & Safety regulations, to the main roof level. The access to working lift is to be installed within the main structure of the scaffolding, the top lift of scaffold is to be fully encased in protective debris netting. The Scaffold is to be designed to self support on all elevations due to the existing lightweight construction of the façade of this modular building, the cladding bricks are only brick slips not actual bricks. Supply a fully netted hoist tower enclosure to support a 300kg platform hoist with 2 x gates for access and this is to be fully secured behind Herras fencing compound. Protection fans are to be provided above all doorways/entrances and they are to be kept clear at all times. The scaffolding shall be tagged and inspected every 7 days by the scaffolding contractor. Provisional sums The contractors shall allow a provisional sum of £10,000.00 for the reinstatement of water damaged ceilings, ceilings tiles and decorations to the top floor of the building. Roof Renewal The works shall be estimated based on the attached specification by IKO and all necessary Health & Safety shall comply with current regulations. The awarded contractor will be expected to sub contract this work out to one of the IKO accredited providers listed below.
